Dart is surprised,Sparky is like :"It's about time!" ,and Rest-Q is giving his arm a little slow-mo workout because his expertise will be needed soon.This is a preview shot above from the Warner bros. website in the coming soon soon section where you can pre-order. it's just the first five part mini-series and there's no further info yet on how the rest of the episodes will be arranged. They could have two volume sets like the G.I. Joe DVDs or the Transformers. But since there's fewer Gobots episodes they could have two volume sets splitting the other 60 episodes between two sets.I'll be keeping an eye on it, and I'd like to know if these will be available from Amazon or sold at stores here in Canada. The WB site does not sell to Canadians as far as I know.

With his assistance the Renegades seem poised to take over Gobotron.But they fail of course.Wrong Way,Pathfinder,Staks, Zeemon are the guest starring Guardians.Overall, this is just an okay episode.

Review:This is the standard time travel episode.The Guardians and Renegades end up in ancient Rome,Italy.The Renegades trick the populace into believing the Guardians are demons.The Guardians are ambushed,badly defeated, and captured.There's an exciting gladiator fight in which Matt and Nick do their best imitations of Spartacus.Pathfinder and A.J. have to come to the rescue to the three main Gs stuck in the past.Pathfinder blows the head off of Cy-Kill's statue and re-energizes the Guardians.Then the Renegades are nicely defeated and they all return to the present.Pathfinder and Buggyman are the guest starring Gobots in this episode.Both of them have decent roles in this one which make it worth watching but it's not one of the best episodes.Pathfinder shows everyone what she can do when she knocks Cy-Kill right out of the sky.

Cy-Kill offers to hold a peace conference with the Guardians and the humans. Leader One is in agreement. But Turbo is skeptical. He wants Leader-1 to realize that the Renegades really want to trap them all in one place.Turbo knows the smell of Crasher's exhaust which is like knowing her farts when he smells them-that alone gives this episode the half and the Renegades making themselves invisible is the interesting gimmick.

Heat Seeker’s first appearance, he swoops into this episode like a breath of fresh air. Braxis has some good moments in this one. Turbo to Braxis after he complains about a bumpy ride inside Turbo:
“You wanna get out and walk sweetheart?!”

But Leader One has a way to stop them.Overall, this was a great episode-suspense and some play with the viewers' assumptions.

Cy-Kill plans to use her against the Guardians.Astral is fairly powerful and the highlight of this episode is seeing her deal with Gobots.Overall,a decent episode Scooter is in a stasis crystal for most of the episode,Sparky Von Joy,and Small Foot get decent screen time, and Buggy Man is with the Guardians in this episode again.

Dr.Go creates a super Astrobeam and Cy-Kill plans to demolish a whole city using construction vehicles under his control. After being asked to do several evil deeds Steamer decides to defect to the Guardians. Steamer lets Sparky go after Cy-Kill tells him to dis-assemble her. This situation hints at a possible love story between him and Sparky,everyone's favorite Fiero Gobot gal.Turbo and Scooter don't believe Steamer is being honest when he expresses his desire to defect.However, Nick Burns befriends Steamer and Steamer in turn earns his trust. Nick and Steamer have the same good chemistry that Nick and Dive-Dive had in "Cold Spell". A really good episode:action,moral dilemmas,and a hint of romance.

Cy-Kill is trying to ruin a peace agreement that cannot be made if the humans are absent. This episode was just okay nothing really interesting happens and the Old Gobotron plot is never continued in later episodes.Rex,the old Gobot was introduced but any number of other Gobots who had never been in the series could have been used instead( like Bent Wing).

Leader One and Scooter go into a parallel dimension, which is a completely different world. There the Guardians are the evil criminals and the Renegades are the good defenders of Earth. The good Renegades sound like Guardians with softer,less mechanical voices.The good Crasher is definitely the most convincing and likable of the good Renegades but the good Cy-Kill is interesting as well. The evil Guardians are just carbon copies of the Renegades which is a bit disappointing but overall this was a great episode even though it only features Cop Tur,Crasher,Cy-Kill,Scooter,Turbo and Leader-1.I wish they had returned to this alternate reality in a later episode to develop that plot line further.

An archaeologist discovers an age-old spaceship in Ecuador or Peru?. It once belonged to the Evil One, a powerful, malevolent Gobot. When the Renegades discover this, they want to steal the destructive weapon.The Guardians and Renegades struggle for it,we receive a little Gobotron history about the Gobot ancestors stopping the Evil One,and that's pretty much it.The only other novelty here is the Renegade's human spy who wears a fetching safari ensemble while performing some beefcake poses in those tight shorts. He would fit right in at a gay bar theme night or as a new member of the Village People.No new Guardians or Renegades appear in this episode which is disappointing.

Zero and Cy-Kill fight to a draw with Zero looking much more menacing than Cy-Kill though.He turns away with the other Rogue Renegades he recruited(Geeper Creeper, Twin Spin,Bad Boy,and Stretch/Tux) from Cy-Kill. Zero wants to eliminate Cy-Kill and his Renegades(Fitor,Crasher,Tank,Cop-Tur) , defeat the Guardians,and take over on Gobotron.I had always hoped for more Zero but alas this was pretty much it for him.One of the best episodes:Turbo and Crasher share a jail cell,Crasher gets bound by Bad Boy,the Renegades seriously fight with each other,and Dozer shows up for the ride.

Dive-Dive and Screwhead steal all the scenes they are in.A classic episode even without Crasher.Nick Burns has one of the best lines in response to Dr.Frost's boastful comment:"This never would have happened if the world had recognized my genius!" Nick replies with sarcasm:"I'm sure the jury will be weeping when they hear that".

In a battle Snoop tapes Leader-1 instead of blasting him. Snoop:"Such a good looking Gobot. What a waste." She has filmed the other Guardians too. Crasher's take on this :"Oh great now we have home movies of the Guardians!".Well actually Snoop was not expanding the Gobo-porno collection she already has but instead in a much less interesting plot development she simply filmed the Guardians so that Dr.Go could make realistic looking doubles of the Guardians. Gradually they replace the real Guardians with their evil automaton doubles who don't act like the real Guardians at all. Cy-Kill plans to take control of Gobotron this way.Leader-1 doubts Small Foot's capability as an active Guardian after Crasher almost destroys her in the opening battle when Snoop was channeling both Mae West and Michaelangelo Antonioni. Leader-1 is humbled in a famous ambush scene with Crasher, Cop-Tur, and Dr.Go on top of him,I suspect Snoop was hiding somewhere shooting this footage too.Small Foot, Scooter, and the humans realize like right away(so much for the suspense) that the other Guardians are not quite themselves.Spoons the Renegade forklift shows up in this one,alas that was all for him.Small Foot gets a starring role in this episode:She tricks Crasher,ties up Fitor with her rope,and kills several Gobot duplicates.She totally blows up Flip Top and Blaster,and then the Leader-1 dupe gets blown up too.A classic episode,one of the best for sure.

Leader One ,Turbo,and Van Guard want to see what’s wrong in the on board computer of the Command Center. In order to do so they become extremely small. Then they are beamed inside the machine by Scooter. Soon they discover the cause for the error: The Renegades(Vamp,Pincher,and Scorp) have infiltrated into the computer and are damaging it.Scooter is left alone to defend the Command Center from Cy-Kill,Crasher,and Cop-Tur with very amusing results.This episode actually works out well with Scooter actually being useful and humorous.The conflict inside the computer is interesting too,this was one of the best episodes of the series.

With the help of a molecular infuser Cy-Kill makes the Guardians toy size. But they also shrink themselves to destroy the Guardians. In a quasi-meta-fictional scene the Gobots are all toys at one point fighting in young Nathan’s bedroom with Gobots posters in the background. Nathan catches Crasher in a catcher’s mitt that she promptly blows a hole out of. Then in another scene Scooter gets into hologram-drag as Crasher-a classic moment-In “Tarnished Image” Crasher goes into hologram-drag as Scooter-event #2 for fans of Gobot “cross-dressing”.Nathan and his mother are African-American and non-stereotypical which demonstrates that someone at H-B was trying to be attentive to diversity.

The Renegades establish a base on sacred ,native soil-(just like humans from Europe have done for centuries).Okay,so this is not the most original idea,Cy-Kill has had.The native magic man Tanatchka is not happy about this display of disrespect.Go Tanatchka! Cy-Kill wants to force Tanatchka to hand over his supernatural powers.Tanatchka's a powerful mystic,he turns Gobotron into a small globe.Another episode where they could have used new Guardians or new Renegades and they did not.Overall,this was cliched and a bit dull plus there was way too much Scooter.The message about mysticism was somewhat interesting though and this episode is very similar to "The Gift".

The Guardians succeed in capturing and bringing Cy-Kill to the desolate planet Elba under lock and key . The Renegades employ an interestingly devious method to rescue him: Fitor and Geeper Creeper feign interest in becoming Guardians. Also Cy-Kill does not remain locked up and uses his wiles on Street Heat and Royal-T,the guardians assigned to guard him on Elba.Elba must have been named after the northern Italian island where Napoleon Bonaparte was once exiled. Fitor flirts with Anya.Royal-T and Street Heat really can't stand being there.Cy-Kill tricks Royal-T and Street Heat into becoming Renegades and they help him escape. The duo attacks Van Guard and Heat Seeker. Turbo is captured also when he goes on a mission with Fitor,Geeper,Spay-c,and Hans Cuff to check on Elba after a distress signal is sent by Van and Heat.Cy-Kill escapes to Earth with Fitor and Geeper and uses his mind control on Spay-C and Hans Cuff. Everyone forgets about Matt Hunter who is still on Elba. Anya’s final appearance, from Russia with love.Dos Vadanya. One of the best episodes of the series with plenty of action, more characters, and some suspense.
